Dental Implants in Jhadol & Phalasiya

Fixed replacement teeth and molars anchored into the jaw — no removable plate.

Before and after treatment of broken front teeth at MS Udaipur Dental Clinic

A dental implant is a small titanium screw placed into the jawbone to take the place of a missing tooth root. Once the bone grips it, a crown is fixed on top. The result behaves like a natural tooth: you chew normally, you clean it normally, and nothing comes out at night.

When an implant is the right choice

  • A single tooth or molar is missing and you do not want the neighbouring teeth filed down for a bridge.
  • Several teeth are missing and a removable plate keeps slipping or hurting.
  • A full denture has become loose as the jawbone shrank over the years.
  • A tooth is broken so far below the gum that it cannot be saved.

What happens, step by step

  • Examination and an X-ray to check how much bone is available.
  • The implant is placed under local anaesthesia — you are awake but the area is fully numb.
  • A healing period of roughly two to four months while the bone fuses to the implant.
  • The crown or bridge is fitted on top and the bite is adjusted.

Does it hurt?

The placement itself is done under local anaesthesia, so you should feel pressure but not pain. Most patients describe the following two days as similar to having a tooth removed — manageable with ordinary painkillers. Swelling settles within a few days.

Looking after an implant

An implant does not decay, but the gum around it can become inflamed exactly like gum around a natural tooth. Brush twice a day, clean between the teeth, and come in for a check once a year. Tobacco in any form is the single biggest cause of implant failure, so stopping matters more here than almost anywhere else in dentistry.

Cost

The cost depends on how many implants are needed, the brand of implant used, and whether any bone grafting is required. We will give you a written estimate after the X-ray and before any treatment starts. Please call the clinic for current fees.

Questions patients ask about this treatment

How long does a dental implant last?

A well-placed dental implant that is kept clean can last 15 years or more, and many last for life. The implant itself does not decay. What shortens its life is gum disease around it, uncontrolled diabetes, and tobacco use. Yearly check-ups at MS Udaipur Dental Clinic in Jhadol or Phalasiya let us catch problems while they are still easy to treat.

Is there an age limit for dental implants?

There is no upper age limit — general health matters far more than age, and people in their seventies routinely have implants successfully. The lower limit does matter: implants are not placed until jaw growth is complete, usually around 18 for girls and slightly later for boys.

Can I get an implant if I have diabetes?

Yes, provided your blood sugar is reasonably controlled. Well-managed diabetes has success rates close to anyone else. Poorly controlled diabetes slows healing and raises the risk of the implant failing, so we will ask for a recent blood sugar report before planning surgery.

Implant or bridge — which is better for one missing tooth?

An implant replaces only the missing tooth and leaves the healthy teeth on either side untouched. A bridge is quicker and usually costs less, but the two neighbouring teeth must be filed down permanently to hold it. If the neighbouring teeth are healthy, an implant is generally the better long-term choice.
